O'Neal Village Commercial Center

7000 SF mixed use | $600k | design build - raby construction | 2017 | childs architecture

Working in a design Build relationship with Raby Construction, we designed a small business/ retail center for the O'Neal Village Planned Community.  The shell spaces range from 900 sf to 1400 sf with (6) units.  Classic, small town Main Streets such as Landrum, SC and Tryon, SC were the inspiration for the architecture and scale of this building.  As Project Architect, I began with conceptual sketches and hand renderings.  Once approved by the Client (TRG Communities), I was able to take the concept through to Construction/Permit drawings.  The thing that I enjoyed most about this project was the team approach to the design and collaborating with the Client, Contractor, Local Officials and Consulting Engineers to produce a great project!
